Do Shias Say Asalamoalikum? Fact Finding, Not Shia-Bashing

Asalamoalikum (?), folks:
So I've noticed some Shia folks don't return my salaams. Is there a religious reason for that? Am I offending Shias by extending salaams? Are there only certain sects that do it (and don't)? Hit me up please.

Of course they say salaam. They're Muslims too ya know

But he? she? anyways... is right because even I noticed this... that some Shia's dont respond and I used to wonder why? Because there's nothing sunni or a particular sect about it. It means only "peace be on you".
Anyways, who knows? maybe they don't know what to say...
when I was younger I was confused and would just repeat the same thing...

Asalamoalikum, white-rose:
See, I even have a semi-plausible explanation. I know that Shia's don't accept some ahadith based on the isnad (nitty gritty omitted). If the concept of sending salaams is transmitted from those sources, it would make sense that Shias reject it, right?

Edit: He (-Man)
Double Edit: I'm just waiting for someone to say that Sunni's also don't say 'Asalamoalikum,' because I spell it differently than most.

Well, since it's not all shias, I guess it's not really that or maybe their imam taught them something else regarding the way of greeting... I guess only a Shia can explain this properly...
Sorry about the he-she confusion,
I say As salaam walaikum - I don't know I've been taught like that,
